????????? The Minister of Culture Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch has said that under the Scheme of Financial Assistance to Professional Groups and Individuals Engaged for Specified Performing Arts Projects, theatre groups are supported with salary grant for Gurus/Directors and Artistes. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today she said, with effect from 01.04.2008 the amount of salary grant for Guru has been enhanced from ` 5,000/- per month to ` 10,000/- per month; and for artistes, it has been enhanced from ` 3,000/- per month to ` 6,000/- per month.?

????????? The State-wise details of the quantum of financial assistance given to the States, including Andhra Pradesh during Eleventh and Twelfth Five Year Plan period are given as per Annexure.
