Take on Gotham's worst in Batman: Arkham Origins, now available for iPhone and iPad

Recently announced at New York Comic Con, free-to-play brawler Batman: Arkham Origins is now available to download from the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The mobile accompaniment to the forthcoming console game of the same name, Arkham Origins is set in the time before the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games, in the early days of Batman.

It’s Christmas Eve in Gotham and Blackmask has put out the hit: “One Night to Kill the Bat.” Play as Batman in his early years as you fight your way through Gotham City’s most dangerous locales in this Free-to-Play brawler by NetherRealm Studios

Character upgrades are aplenty with new Batsuits, new ability upgrades and in-game currency and rewards as you progress. Graphically it looks pretty fantastic, though since the gameplay seems centered wholly around combat, we'll hold judgment on any possible longevity until we've spent some more time with it. But hey; it's Batman, right?!
