MBB: Reves signs professional contract with St. Polten

ARLINGTON, Texas - Former UT Arlington basketball player Jordan Reves is set to begin his professional career after signing with Union Basketball Club St. Polten in Austria.
"It's huge for me," Reves said. "It's a really big deal and a great opportunity and something that I have been looking forward to."
Finishing as UTA's all-time career blocks leader, Reves had a standout career with the Mavericks and helped lead UTA to a 19-14 record this past season.
He helped lead the team to back-to-back postseason appearances and was named the Western Athletic Conference's Best Defender and earned a spot on the College Sports Madness All-WAC team.
Traveling overseas will not be new for Reves, who played on a traveling in Europe in 2012. Reves said that the opportunity helped him see the style that is played in European basketball.
"It's a little bit different," Reves said. "But I am ready to play and do my part to make the team win."
St. Polten is one of 11 teams that are a part of the Austrian Basketball League. St. Polten was 3-17 last season and will look for Reves to make a big impact on the team to improve. ??

"Jordan is definitely one of the best post players to ever play at UT Arlington, so he is very deserving of this great opportunity. Reves played in 124 games over his four-year career with UTA.
